In support of researchers at Tikrit University, the university president, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raoof honors the researcher Dr. Khalaf Ahmed Jasim, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, Tikrit University, who specializes in Organic Chemistry and Nanotechnology, in appreciation of his participation and cooperation with Professor Dr. Andre Gesquiere from the United States of America in one of the most prestigious international conferences in Massachusetts, Boston, the USA, known as the (Nano Boston Conference), which specializes in many strategies for preparing organic and polymeric compounds, and which uses nanotechnology and biotechnology techniques in their biological applications in the medical field.

The conference proceedings included the name of Tikrit University / College of Science / Department of Chemistry, and the researcher was named a Featured Speaker for his work titled:

(Targeted Chemotherapy Approach Based on Iron-Releasing Nanoparticle Conjugates for Triggered Metastatic Melanoma Therapy in Vitro)

The researcher confirmed that the research focused on the development of a new and innovative nanocomposite that had never been developed before by using many methods and techniques of preparation of organic and polymeric compounds, as well as the application of modern procedures and techniques to treat advanced cases of skin cancer in vitro, including resistance to chemotherapy as a result of the disease's spread throughout the body, a condition known scientifically as Metastatic Melanoma, the findings revealed that the nanoparticles are linked to malignant cells, have a high level of specificity, and are unrelated to healthy cells.

Regarding the nature of the scientific conference, Dr. Khalaf Ahmed explained that the conference was held with the goal (is to make this world a better place by providing a solution to health problems).

Dr. Khalaf continued, the conference featured important presentations from a diverse group of eloquent speakers, policymakers, science leaders, and scientists from around the world, including Professor John Charles Polanyi, a Canadian chemist who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1986 for his work in chemical kinetics, Mostafa El-Sayed, a distinguished Egyptian professor, and genius who awarded the American National Science Medal for his accomplishments as a pioneering nanotechnology researcher was also the first to use micro-gold compounds in the treatment of cancer and the generation of heat through the association of gold nanoparticles with malignant cells, their camouflage, and their non-association with healthy cells, Professor Dr. Shaker Ahmed Musa, an Egyptian scientist whose name is associated with 220 patents, including 180 patents for the benefit of these companies, all of which are in the invention and development of heart and liver drugs using nanotechnology and stem cells have been well recognized by major international drug companies for 17 years, as well as more than a thousand scientific papers published in major periodicals.

Scholars from the United States of America, China, the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, South Korea, France, India, Sweden, Mexico, Malaysia, Qatar, Spain, Hungary, Turkey, Pakistan, Portugal, Poland, South Africa, Thailand, Taiwan, the Republic of Latvia, and the Republic of Slovenia attended the conference.

The inclusion of the name of Tikrit University in the proceedings of this prestigious conference is a significant scientific achievement added to the series of the university's achievements to raise the scientific and academic level and raise the level of Tikrit University in the international rankings.
